I have a guilty pleasure. I am addicted to the show “Curse of Oak Island”. For those who don’t know, it is a weekly documentary following two brothers who are leading an expedition to recover the legendary treasure that is buried on Oak Island, just off the coast of Nova Scotia. The show has been running for ten years and nothing much happens from episode to episode. But I was intrigued by the legendary treasure when I was a teen, reading a magazine article on it. The treasure is supposedly buried a hundred feet down, protected by flood tunnels to ensure no one dug it up. Almost a dozen men have died trying to reach the treasure. It begs the question, what treasure is so valuable that someone went to so much trouble in burying it? My story Treasure, teases at this. I needed to get this “published” now because these men may actually get to the treasure soon and render my story obsolete.
